What is the minimum lease term?

The minimum lease term offered by Housing and Property Solutions is 3 years. Leases can extend up to 25 years depending on the property type and provider requirements.

What compliance is required before a lease can be agreed?

Before a lease can be secured, landlords are required to confirm that relevant property compliance is in place. If compliance has not yet been established, a general compliance visit can be arranged at a fee of £200 to assess requirements. Proof of ownership or legal control of the property is also required.

Will I still own my property during the lease?

Yes. Ownership of your property remains entirely with you throughout the lease term. Housing and Property Solutions leases the property from you on behalf of a provider or operator — we do not purchase it unless a sale is separately agreed.
